Ubuntu…I am because we are…

In the circle of faith, fun and friends at Huron Church Camp we learn that no one is alone. In working and playing together, in figuring things out together, in sharing ourselves we become more our self… we become more…more exciting, more fun, more cooperative, more generous, more patient, more kind…won’t you join us? You don’t really have to bring anything…just your self! And in doing so, in joining into our games, singing, silly fun, stargazing, eating, swimming, laughing, crying, thinking, praying ...just by bringing your self you will give to the we of  the camp community and become more of who God dreams you to be, dreams us to be...as Jesus taught us!

Come, join the circle!

Most of our staff were once campers who decided to pass their great camp experiences on to future generations. Our Leader in Training Program offers teens an opportunity to do this with an emphasis on serving God by serving God’s children. HCC has a wonderful pool of young people from which to choose counsellors, and the Diocese of Huron is enriched by active, knowledgeable and faithful young leaders…

We give thanks for our week together in Christ,

friendships made, new skills learned, games

played, art created, stories told.

May we find new beginnings when

we share these gifts which we carry home.

May this time at camp burn in our hearts

long after the glow of our final campfire dies.

Amen.
